Vascular lesions, commonly referred to as spider veins, are small blood vessels that appear directly under the skin’s surface. Spider veins can form from a variety of factors including aging, genetics, hormones, and activity level and are commonly seen on the nose, cheeks, and legs. Like pigmented lesions, spider veins are not harmful but are often removed for cosmetic purposes.
Vascular lesion removal is a noninvasive laser treatment that uses light energy to remove unwanted veins. During treatment, our Trinity laser directs pulses of light energy onto the vein, causing it to collapse and safely coagulate without damaging the surrounding skin. Over time, the vessel will fade and disappear, revealing clear, blemish-free skin.
Laser treatment works best on small to mid-sized veins. Most patients see significant improvement after one treatment and successful results within 2 to 3 treatments.
After treatment, a small bruise may form where the vein once appeared. As the bruise heals, the area should appear unblemished and clear. To prevent additional vascular lesions from forming, Integrity Ink recommends clients stay active and avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time.
